This starts with an apology. I promised a special edition last weekend from our nation’s capital. That didn’t happen. Not only was my computer in the fancy expensive shop (we need right-to-repair laws) but the promised storyline fell through. Understandably I am heartbroken over this and hope that in time you loyal readers can forgive me. You’re also probably better off without the special edition anyways.
Game Time
Let’s start off today with a fun game of Wheel of Fortune. The category for today’s toss-up is, “worst state legislators,” and there are 5 letter tiles displayed. [][][][][]

Ok I just spun the wheel. I’m going to first guess the letter, “N.”
Wow I got it! [N][][][][]
“Hey Pat can I buy the vowel I?”
Nice! [N][I][][][]
“Pat my man, I need to buy an A”
This is going great. [N][I][][A][]
I’d like to solve the puzzle.
“The worst state legislator in the United States is
NIRAJ!!! (Antani)”
Ding, I’m correct and I win a lot of money and fame and affection.
Here’s why (from this week in Nirajville):
A few weeks ago, I covered in here his batshit abortion reversal bill. Who would’ve thought he’d be back so soon with something perhaps just as dumb.
The eternal brilliance of Rep. Antani has come back with a new bill, Ohio House Bill 90, because the man truly can’t let women have anything.
His eminence has proposed this bill, where in health and science classes between grades 3 and grades 12 a student would have to learn about, “the dignity of the unborn child.” The insanity of this is literally unparalleled.
Here’s some quotes from the official legislative analysis:
Requires State Board of Education (BOE), with ODH collaboration, to develop an unborn child’s humanity instructional program that is consistent with some of the materials developed by ODH to comply with its unborn child’s humanity/abortion-free society duties.
Prohibits the program or any employee of a school district, nonchartered public school, community school, STEM school, or college preparatory boarding school implementing the program from referring a student to an abortion provider.
You’d think that the studies showing that comprehensive sex education is effective in preventing teenage pregnancies, and therefore teenage abortions, would be popular with the man. But no, instead of working on advancing sound policy, Niraj has decided to take it into his own hands and his own education.
He’s trying to push his beliefs on children while they’re just trying to get to recess. On top of that, do we really want our kids to end up anything like Niraj, or thinking anything similar to Niraj? Also, why should we have schools pushing blatant political agendas, just a thought.
Here’s a quote from the ACLU in the Columbus Dispatch.
Calling the proposal “counterproductive and harmful,” Gary Daniels, a lobbyist for the American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio, told the House Health Committee on Tuesday, “It is not meant to legitimately accomplish anything productive in Ohio but is, instead, only useful to satisfy a small segment of voters.”
Supporters “want to commandeer multiple state agencies and all public schools to deliver slanted, incorrect, harmful and unscientific information across the state,” Daniels said.
There is absolutely no basis or justification for this bill, and thank-god the odds of it making it are slim-to-none.
But, just to harp on it further, let’s consider Niraj’s vast experience as an education-policy decision maker. His professional experience in the field consists of graduating college, and literally nothing else. Turns out he’s an absolute moron with no experience and should not be a legislator.
I will literally donate $100 to anyone who will be a serious challenger to this guy. If anyone lives in his district I beg of you please just beat him.
Labour Day
It should not come as a surprise to any of you that I’m a very close follower of UK politics. I love tea, watching a good footy match on the telly, and limiting my social interactions. In sum, I’m a perfect fit for the kingdom so I follow their politics pretty closely.
This goes so far as to walking out of my college orientation to stream on my phone live results from the Brexit vote. Limiting social interactions to stream public opinion poll results turned out to be the wrong move, but only because it just got me upset. And today in England land, I’m even more upset.
For those who don’t know, the second biggest political party in the UK is the Labour party. They’ve been around a long, long, time and are the prominent left-wing party. Labour is controlled by a guy named Jeremy Corbyn, who if you also haven’t heard has a really murky history with anti-semitism.
I’m not here to argue over his anti-Israel policy, that’s staying out of here, but it’s pretty clear that the dude has a problem with Jews. The fact of the matter is, if 85% of Jews in your country think you’re an anti-Semite, you’re most definitely an anti-Semite.
Now last night in England there was a special election in this place called Petersborough. It took place because the last Member of Parliament there got caught up in a speeding ticket bribery scandal?? I don’t know why the lady couldn’t just pay the ticket like the rest of us, but she got recalled ala Scott Walker and they had to have an election last night.
This also would never happen in America. American Congressman Matt Gaetz is the undisputed DUI-King (way worse than speeding) and he gets to be on Fox News whenever he wants.

This is my favorite ever political billboard, and I hate billboards
Back to the topic.
Last night the lads of Peterborough went to vote and they in a shocking upset elected a Labour candidate, Lisa Forbes, over the Brexit Party candidate et. al.
If your initial reaction this is, “Hell yeah, the Brexit Party sucks,” you aren’t wrong. They suck and it was great seeing them lose. But in a continent with increasing anti-Semitism electing Forbes is bad for everyone.
Lisa Forbes also doesn’t have a good history with the Jews.
From The Times of Israel:
Forbes had drawn criticism earlier this week after it emerged she had liked a Facebook post that said British Prime Minister Theresa May had a “Zionist Slave Masters agenda.”
She also commented: “I have enjoyed reading this thread so much” on a post that repeated the conspiracy theory that the Mossad and CIA are behind the Islamic State terror group.
I’m not one to look that deeply into social media output, hell I don't want any scrutiny of my social media usage either. Thankfully, I’m not running to be an MP in a party that is literally under federal investigation for accusations of anti-Semitism.
If you don’t want your party to be accused of anti-Semitism, don’t elect someone that has at minimum a very problematic posting history.

Not an anti-Semite Corbyn with Not an anti-Semite Forbes
Labour can continue to downplay it as much as they want, but they need to heed to Jewish critics here. We know how dangerous and harmful these tropes can be, and they need to be stomped out. Vote Lib Dem, Vote Remain.
Trivia and Stuff
I don’t even want to talk about last night. It was a rough night at the trivia links and I’m still in shock. I’ll be on another cruise next week and will dominate there’s no question.
Now about that cruise. I’m leaving tomorrow for Italy for a few weeks, but I enjoy writing this stupid thing to much to quit cold turkey. I’ll try to knock out one or two newsletters a week, what else could I possibly be doing in such a historic country.
Also, feel free again to share this sign-up link. Every new subscriber gives me a solid half-smile and who doesn’t want that.
